It's my new Obsession and I'm hoping to start a business doing it! So I thought what the heck! Why not submit a photo and see how I do! They will announce the winner July 21st!
June 24-June 27th Normy's Family came in from Washington, Puerto Rico and Texas. 13 of them total! We got to spend a few days with them. I was so excited about meeting his family that I thought it would be really cool to make them a Puerto Rican Flag out of cupcakes! Thought it would be a nice to welcome them and and get them to like me right off with sweets!
We had a really good time with them! Ate a LOT of Good Puerto Rican food. I want this Recipe that is Aunt makes where she cooks a pork Roast with a bottle of wine. Don't think I will ever get it, cause I think its all up in her head, Not written down anywhere.
We also went to the Renaissance Festival. I hadn't been in so many years. The last time I went I didn't really care for it, But this time it was awesome. Really enjoyed myself. Will Defiantly go back!
We also played UNO with them and they have there own little Crazy, Puerto Rican way of playing. One game lasted for like an hour or so. But it was a really good time and Whenever I play UNO I will play the way they showed me, because it makes it WAY more fun!!!

June 5th was our niece Bronwyn's Recital. 2nd year in a row for her! 2nd year that I went. I made cupcakes last year and Tara asked me to make some this year. I think it will be a new tradition for Bronwyn's Recital to have Jamie Cupcakes. I was able to get a video of Bronwyn too. My camera doesn't take pictures too good far away in the dark. So I did a video. I knew Tara would love it! Normando was camping for the weekend, so I was the good aunt and went and supported Bronwyn for the both of us!
So (AGAIN) I have TOTALLY slacked on Blogging! Too BUSY Facebooking! So Its been busy and crazy and I'm still unemployed. So let me do a quick rundown on what's been going on the past couple of months:
Went to Stacey and Brian's Craw fish Boil May 15th... She did one last year too. I think its going to be every Year from now on:
So Fawn got Married May 27, 2010. I was a Bridesmaid and Normy was the Photographer. But (Of course) I helped take pictures too!
The month of May was like a Reunion month for me! I got to see my old High School BFF Heather and then my other BFF from High School April had a get together and I got to see her and an old friend Allison and April's Sis in Law Amy who I was really close with after High school. April Just moved into a new house and wanted to celebrate her being newly divorced and Happier, and Being able be free! She also was celebrating her Birthday as well. I made cupcakes and Salsa (of course). It was GREAT to see April. I had been really good friends with her since 10th grade. We did everything together, from getting our belly buttons Pierced at 18, and going to Mexico together, to her teaching me to drive a stick shift, and "Looking" for Guys. I actually introduced her and her ex husband (guess I didn't do too good of a job). I also got to see April's Mom, who I was close with also. When I got in fights with my mom I would always go to Aprils. Sometimes I would stay the whole weekend at April's house. Her mom and I had many talks about my home life and how My mom and I didn't get along. She got to meet Normando, and it was funny because she laughed at the fact that I was married. Because I would always say I would never get married. It was great catching up and Reminiscing about old times and the crazy, stupid things we would do as youngins...
Deleted my facebook today! Feels good! I was obsessed! And people got on my nerves man! No one would post anything...and I couldn't stand the "like" button. It seemed I was the only one updating and no one else...As my sis in law Tara said: It was controlling my life. If someone really wants to keep in touch with me, they have my phone number and email and if they don't keep in touch with me then they weren't my "friend" to begin with...I am ALWAYS the one to make the effort and keep in touch. If it weren't for me I wouldn't even talk to a few people. Its really sad how things are these days how lazy people are...Oh well I guess I have my Normy and that's all I need...
This weekend Normando and I celebrated the Mom's in our lives...So we decided to invite them over for some Normando and Jamie cooking! I mean you can't get better than a home cooked meal made with LOVE! Its what we do best...Cook! Saturday night we had my mom and dad over and I made my mom Flautas...That's her FAV dish and she also likes this Broccoli salad I make as well. I also made cupcakes the day before, for an order I had...so I made extras so I could give some to my mom...It was really nice having my parents over. We sat and talked and just enjoyed each other's company...
Then today (Sunday) Normando and I made Chicken Parmesan for Normy's Mom and sis. Its a Tradition we started a couple years back. But Normy said he made it for his mom before he met me, so the tradition is still going. I made marinara sauce to go with the chicken Parmesan and homemade noodles. I thought it would be fun to wait till our niece Isela came over for us to roll out the pasta so she could help out and she really loved it...Her and I rolled out all the pasta and at one point she was rolling the noodles out herself! We also had Salad and bread and I made Tiramisu Cupcakes for dessert. I know that Tiramisu is my mother in laws Favorite dessert and I wanted to make it...but its a little pricey to make so I thought the next best thing would be cupcakes! We had a great time...It was a little crazy with all of us in our little apartment but its was a great day to end our weekend!
